Come Smell What's Cookin'!

Fort Wayne, IN June 4, 2004–-Put on your apron, and get ready for some fun! Plans for the Midwest Soap & Candle Bee are now underway. The theme for this First Annual event will focus on innovations within the soap and candle making industry. We'll be sharing recipes for fragrance blends, new products, and profitable businesses.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 11th, 2005, in Fort Wayne, at the newly renovated Grand Wayne Convention Center. The venue provides a central location to roughly one-fifth of the nation's population, and is in close proximity to many major Midwestern cities – Chicago, Cincinnati, Detroit, Louisville, Cleveland, and Indianapolis.

"We are striving to become one of the premier conferences of the year," explained Event Coordinator Traci Hayner Vanover, aka The Promo Diva. "This event will bring together not only artisans at all skill levels, but also many of the key suppliers that service this industry."

The event is being sponsored in conjunction with two of Vanover's businesses, Promo Boost, and Marketplace Gallery, Ltd. Both businesses offer marketing and promotional services, and cater to the handmade industry.

The 10,000 square foot Grand Ballroom will serve home to up to 25 vendor booths, along with a General Session which is expecting up to 250 attendees. Attendees will enjoy a number of presentations and demonstrations on a variety of topics – from new techniques and product innovations, to tips on growing their respective businesses. Event tickets will also include catered meals, a goodie bag, and additional printed materials.
