Decorating With Candles

Decorating With Candles
By Evans KC

Candles can be an inexpensive way to change the mood in a room. They also can add that little extra touch of you! Using candles to add that extra bit of romantic to a room is what most people think of when they think of candles. Now days decorating with candles can mean so much more. They come in such a wide variety of scents, colors, and decorative containers. Of course if your going for that romantic feel candles do help bring it on. But they "bring on" other moods too! Of course Bayberry smelled brings on fond memories of Christmas time, and Pumpkin Pie scent is Thanksgiving. Cinnamon, nutmeg, and fruit flavors can help bring on happier get togethers.

You can experiment and see which scents are your families favorite. Instead of placing one or two for mood in your room try placing many candles lit all around the room. The actual amount of candles you place is up to you but keep in mind the size of the room your working with. For instance when we have family get togethers, I'll use candles because I like the mood it sets for all of us. I like to place the candles in groups of 2-5 around the room. Since our get togethers usually involve having children run around the house, I have to keep in mind safety. So much for setting the mood if someone gets burned or the house catches fire! I love candles so I use them almost daily. I am particularly fond of the scented candles. I feel thats an extra bonus to using them! Just have fun decorating with candles, do what you like, and just be safe!
